Kaitlan

Today I had the pleasure to shoot with Kaitlan. She's originally from DFW but goes to school at MIZZOU. You might not can tell by these photos, but she's very funny.
Cool scarf.

The one below is my favorite of the shoot.

How does a 5'4" photographer shoot a 5'11" model with heels on? He gets a ladder or asks her to sit down.

thanks to Kaitlan for taking time to shoot with me today. It was fun and we got great shots.

I'm still looking for more individuals to shoot headshots of. If you're interested send me an email.

Thanks,
Brian

Boys&Girls Club Northside Christmas Party

Last night was the annual Northside Fort Worth Boys & Girls Club Christmas Party. They asked if I would take the pictures with Santa.
Santa headshot.
She just couldn't stop laughing.

I shot all of these using my new Einstein Strobe with the 47" octobox. It worked great. Much better than using flashes and waiting on the recycle time.
But not everyone wanted a pic with Santa.
Here's a picture of me with Santa. Merry Christmas.

New Studio and Jole

Tonight I had my first shoot in a studio I'm renting in Hurst. It's a whole new step for me. I've shot a lot of weddings and environmental shoots and I love doing those, but I felt like it was time for me to try something new. I would really like to do head-shots and portraits. So if you would like a great head-shot send me an email.

Tonight I shot with Jole. The first thing she told me was that she's horrible at head-shots. It only took a few shots to prove that wrong. She's awesome.

I shot all of these with my Canon 100f2.8L Macro lens. It's not intended to be a portrait lens, but combined with my Canon 5DMKII it's amazing. It's sharp and the perfect length for head-shots.

Thanks to Jole for making my first official studio shoot go great.

If anyone wants to shoot send me an email.

Thanks,
Brian

Shannon & Sean Engagement Shoot Part 2

Today I met Sean and Shannon to finish our engagement shoot. Despite some cold winds we really got some great shots. We shot again in Grapevine at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens and the Tarantula train yard.

This is my favorite show of the day. I like their expressions with the grass. Make sure you look at the full size version.

Go Big Train!
I could shoot around these rail cars for hours.

I've made a new blue "look".
This tree behind them was really awesome. Especially with the blue sky.

You see a trunk like this and you have to shoot on it.

I know Shannon's by herself in this photo, but it's a good shot and Sean really liked it.
I had a great time today. Sean and Shannon are fun and great subjects. I can barely wait till we shoot again.

Thanks,
Brian

Haslet Sunset

I saw this driving home from an engagement shoot with Sean and Shannon (pics to come) and I had to pull over and get out. I've driven by this a thousand times, but tonight the moon lined up with this windmill. Who doesn't love windmills?

I'm thinking about starting an Occupy Haslet movement. But less civil disobedience and more about BBQ and the Catfish Grill.

Rashad Sr. Pics

This afternoon I shot my friend Rashad's senior pics. Rashad goes to Northwest High School and plays basketball. He's thinking about going to UNT or UTA. We shot around the streets of the Stockyards and had a great time.

Rashad was awesome. If college doesn't work out I think he go with his backup as a Hollister model.

Shannon & Sean Part 1

Today I shot with Shannon and Sean. They're getting married in September next year. Both go to UNT. They've been dating since school. We walked down Main St in Grapevine. Unfortunately, it started to rain so we had to cut our shoot short until next weekend. But here are a few good ones from today.

This wall was already decorated for us.
Stay tuned for part two...
