This past Monday driving back from Houston there was really great fog. I pulled over a few times to take a few pics.
I liked how this tree seemed isolated.
This pond felt dreary in the fog with with these half dead trees reflecting.

More Wedding Pics
Here are a few more wedding pics from Chris and Tara's wedding.
At most of the weddings I shoot I'm lucky enough to have a skilled second shooter. At this wedding I had my friend Sabrina. She's really become a great photographer. At Thistle Hill she stayed up on the staircase and got some really cool shots. I wanted everyone to see them.
I like this shot. A birds eye view of a wedding.
This one's very dramatic and shows what the room looked like. This one has a great angle and i like the selective focus she used. Great job Sabrina.

Lighting Essentials Workshop
This weekend I attended Don Giannatti's Lighting Essentials Workshop in Houston. It was awesome. Don did a good job of challenging my lighting skills and getting me to try new lighting configurations. We spent two days discussing light and taking great photos. Here are a few I took from this weekend.
Thanks to Don for making me a better photographer.

Chris & Tara
This past Saturday, I photographed Chris and Tara's wedding. They're a really fun couple and I was really looking forward to it.
They were married at Thistle Hill in Fort Worth, TX.
Inside Thistle Hill there was enough sun light that I could use my 50mmf1.2 and shoot without a flash.
Some shots just work.
The reception was held at the Palace Room in the Stockyards. A cool place.
This guy looked tired sitting here.
A different ring shot than my normal.
I really liked this shot. I had to get down low with out her noticing me.
Thistle Hill is nice but not very big. We were at capacity. I was in a standing crowd in the back but in a good spot for when they came in.
I shot the family portraits with two softboxes and it worked well.
As soon as we got there I knew I wanted to do something with the dining room at Thistle Hill.
I used a backlight for a lot of the dancing shots.
For this one I shot up on a stage. I like how everyone is moving around them.
I think he danced almost every song (except the slow ones).
This was my last wedding scheduled for 2011 and it was great.
Thanks to Chris, Tara and your families. Great people.
Thanks,
Brian
